NOTE: Most of the materials used to create monuments are purchased by Guiot Monument through special orders from out of state or from other countries. We strive to provide prompt service, but, due to the delivery complications, please allow at least 4 months for the monument to be completed.

NOTE: Each cemetery has different rules. Most require cemetery approval of a monument prior to its installation in the cemetery. Client should bring a copy of the preliminary sketch to the cemetery for approval prior to preparation of full scale drawing by Guiot Monument.

All of the material used in created monuments is purchased by special order by Guiot Monument and is not delivered from existing inventory. The design and inscription of the finished monument is unique to each client For these reasons the deposit is non-refundable and the failure of the client to make full payment required hereunder will result in Guiot Monument instituting actions to recover the entire balance of the contract price. In the event that any balance owed to Guiot Monument is not paid when due, client hereby agrees that Guiot Monument shall be entitled to interest at the rate of 1% per month beginning at the time such balance was due and continuing until the entire balance is paid in full. In the event that this matter is place in the hands of an attorney for collection of any part of the unpaid balance, client hereby agrees to be responsible for all reasonable costs of collection including reasonable attorney fees. Foundation fees are customer's responsibility not Guiot Monument. Customers must call cemetery to pay for foundation fees after Guiot Monument gives them three copies of the drawing with monument size.

Most of the important decisions you make in life involve signing a contract, and contracts are legally binding. So remember to read every line before you sign this sales agreement.
KEEP A COPY: Always keep a copy of any contract you sign for quick reference and to make sure the contract isn't changed later after you sign it. Most reputable firms will insist you keep one.

There are two parties agreeing to a contract...The client (as listed above) and the seller (Guiot Monuments.) Each has the same right to expect the other to live up to its terms. Once the contract is made and in the absence of fraud and misrepresentation, neither one can properly break, cancel or revoke the contract without the permission of the other. If the client "changes his mind" or because of unforeseen circumstances wants a deposit or money back, the seller LEGALLY does not have to give it to him.
